I purchased this wheelchair not knowing it would fold together, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did. You simply lift it up by the canvas seating pad and everything collapses. The leg rests also fold aside very easily and the armrests fold up and out of the way so you can slide onto your bed. I tested the maneuverability and it fits into narrow passages and doorways (even ones found in homes that were made in the 1950s). Turning, moving forward, and backwards takes some getting used to if you haven’t used a wheelchair. The controls are similar to that of a tracked vehicle in that you control turning and movement via the individual wheels. Or you can have someone just push you around. The wheelchair wasn’t very heavy for me, I could lift it around without any difficulty. The shipping was extremely fast and kudos to Amazon for the excellent service. I tried ordering a wheelchair via a medical supply store and they gave me the run around for well over a month. I ordered this chair from Amazon and it arrived within 2 days as guaranteed.
Unfortunately, the packaging wasn’t very sufficient. There wasn’t any packing material to protect the chair, and the box already fell apart by the time it arrived. The OEM should consider more robust protection.
Pros: Easy to use, lots of features, affordable
Cons: Packaging isn’t that great, it could use more protection and better box securements.

This wheelchair is wonderful. The quality was great, and we thought it would be much less ‘heavy duty’ because of the price. It rolls really easy. However, it weighs over 4o lbs. Check the Drive website and it will tell you the true weight of the wheelchair. If you are looking for a lightweight product, this is the same as other wheelchairs. It’s still a very nice product though!

My father suffered from a stroke so we had to rent a chair similar to this for $90 a month … imagine.
Bought this chair cause of the movable arm rests & price.
Its simply great , I dont think you can ask for anything more on a normal wheel chair, highly recommend it.

I agree with these reviews however one note that isn’t advertised. The wheel spokes are also plastic. I purchased this for possible use in my old age so I may not need this for years from now. The plastic does seem sound and heavy duty but both footrests and the spokes being plastic do concern me for long term integrity. This ought to be known for others considering this. Other than this, it was a sound sturdy purchase for the small price. With care, prudence and no mistreatment I think I have done well. Possibility to replace plastic items if needed but thought to make this known for others. Otherwise for price this is a good start.

OK to start with this is not a “light weight chair”.
Right out of the box it’s ready to go, just add footrests. I’ve been in a wheelchair for near 20 years and about tried them all, from super lightweights to what I call dinosaurs, you know the ones you commonly see in most hospitals.
This chair is what you might call upgraded from that. It feels sturdy, good locking breaks, rolls with ease, the push, or rear tires have a rough type finish painted on, for grip that’s good, but for fast rolls down ramps, or down hill, could leave a slight burn in your hand, so gloves recommended for that.
All in all, for the price, you can’t go wrong. Recommended, if you need a chair and tight on money, hey it looks nice too.

I had a severe accident and couldn’t walk for two months at least. To rent a wheelchair was 75 per week. I found this one and it was much better. It had the elevating legs and is very sturdy. I am glad I found it.

I ordered this wheelchair right after my husband fell and had an extremely serious foot injury and was not able to do any weight bearing for about 3 months. After doing extensive ‘wheelchair’ research when I decided to purchase my mother-in-law her own wheelchair, I decided on this one because of the features and the price. I wanted very good quality as well as elevating leg rests since my M-I-L deals with swelling in her ankles/feet. I placed my order last Thursday and the chair was delivered today - only two business days later! The chair is practically ready to use right out of the shipping carton. I only had to add the handles used to push the wheelchair and the elevating leg rests which are great! The chair is definitely a higher quality than the one supplied by the nursing home where my mother-in-law is currently having physical therapy for her recently broken hip. I’m still amazed at the incredibly low price and blown away by the speedy service! If this chair has the features and size you’re looking for, go for it! You definitely won’t be disappointed.
